Tony DeWitt is a member of BFRG’s appellate practice team.

He graduated cum laude from the Saint Louis University School of Law in 1993. He was elected into the Order of the Woolsack, a scholastic honorary association. He earned a bachelor’s degree in health care and administration from Ottawa University in Ottawa, Kansas, in 1986, graduating with distinction.

He is admitted to practice before all Missouri state courts, the United States Federal Court of Claims and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit.

Mr. DeWitt is a member of The Missouri Bar, the Eight Circuit Bar Association, Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys and the American Association for Justice. He is a Fellow of the American Association of Respiratory Care.

He writes extensively for legal publications and has received numerous awards and honors for his research and writing efforts. Mr. DeWitt is the author of The Respiratory Therapists Legal Answer Book, published by Jones & Bartlett Publishers, and Legal First Aid for Healthcare Workers, also published by Jones & Bartlett Publishers. He also is a frequent lecturer before legal and medical organizations.

Prior to his law career, Mr. DeWitt practiced as a respiratory therapist at several different hospitals.
