My Story

I joined Bartimus Frickleton in August of 2025. I graduated from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln with degrees in Mathematics and Global Studies. I love that Bartimus Frickleton allows me to constantly learn with complex medical injuries and legal processes crossing my desk each day. My colleagues have big hearts, and I am grateful to be involved with a team that values supporting the community.

What led you to work in the legal field?

I worked in the service industry throughout high school and college and loved interacting with customers. My background in mathematics also reflects my love for logical analysis and academia. Law was a smooth transition to apply my passion for serving people with my craving for intricate puzzles. After working for a law firm in Omaha following graduation, I learned that I work well with the fast pace, red tape, and complex details of the legal field. Clients come to us during the hardest times in their life, and I love having the responsibility and knowledge to take some of the weight off their shoulders.

What do you do in your spare time?

What do you do in your spare time? I love to explore the Kansas City community by attending musicals and concerts, visiting the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, trying new food, and volunteering as a coach for Girls on the Run. One of my passions is traveling. I visited Ireland, England, and Peru this year!

What do you find rewarding about working at Bartimus Frickleton Robertson Rader?

When I first started, I read about Jim Bartimus in Super Lawyers where they call him “The Med Mal Changemaker.” Jim took a wrongful death lawsuit of an unborn child to the Missouri Supreme Court when Kansas and Missouri had differing rules recognizing the death of a fetus. Bartimus set the tone for the firm, and I can see each attorney and staff apply the same passion, eagerness, and expertise to fight for our clients.
