My Biography
Austin is an associate trial lawyer at Bartimus Frickleton Robertson Rader and specializes in personal injury cases. He attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law, where he graduated magna cum laude. During law school, Austin served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Ortrie D. Smith in the U.S. District Court, Western District of Missouri, and as a legal extern at the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Fraud & Corruption Unit.
Before joining the firm, Austin spent the first years of his legal career as an insurance defense lawyer, where he handled a myriad of civil cases. Austin worked closely with insurance adjusters who evaluate fault/responsibility and assign monetary values to personal injury claims. Austin now utilizes this knowledge and experience to zealously advocate on behalf of injured victims and achieve the most favorable results for his clients.
Austin centers his practice on personal injury and wrongful death cases, including car accidents, trucking accidents, motorcycle accidents, injuries caused by dangerous conditions (premises liability), products liability, insurance bad faith/vexatious refusal, and medical malpractice. Austin is a passionate, competitive, and dedicated lawyer who is committed fighting for justice on behalf of his clients.
My Story
Austin believes preparation drives success.
From an early age, many knew that Austin was a natural-born leader. No matter the task at hand or obstacle faced, Austin would work relentlessly to achieve the best possible outcome, all while encouraging others to do the same.
Growing up in Parkville, Missouri taught Austin the importance of “community” and helping others, which eventually led him to the practice of law. Austin firmly adheres to the Margaret J. Wheatly quote, “There is no power for change greater than a community discovering what it cares about.”
As a former Division I football player, Austin truly understands the significance and impact of hard work, preparation, teamwork, and strategy. Austin applies these deeply rooted principles to each of his personal injury cases to help his clients obtain justice and make the community a safer place. As a young lawyer, Austin learned that cases are won and lost long before they ever reach the courthouse steps, often as a result of preparation, case strategy, and dedication.
While not working, Austin enjoys spending time and telling stories with his family and friends. Austin is always looking for a way to sharpen his advocacy skills and does so by reading, attending seminars, listening to podcasts, and watching televised personal injury trials. Austin is an avid golfer, a sports fanatic, and an admirer of golden retrievers.
