Investigation Underway After Deadly Air Tragedy

The country woke up this morning to tragic news of a commercial airplane crash in the Nation’s Capital.

An American Airlines flight carrying approximately 60 passengers and several crew members from Wichita, Kansas collided midair with a military helicopter as the airplane was making its descent into Reagan National Airport.

The crash occurred shortly before 9:00 p.m. EST above the Potomac river in Washington, D.C. Emergency responders were immediately called into action to assist in the recovery of the passengers and crew aboard the two aircrafts.

Our hearts go out to all of the individuals and families affected by this devastating tragedy. And we commend the heroic actions of the first responders involved in the recovery efforts.
